Going to the Metropolitan Opera, what should we see?

I'm a Verdi fan, so that is a great season. I would say that La Traviata is the best 1st opera of that list. Tosca is probably second. Madam erfly and Macbeth are a little difficult to sit through for your first time. Everything else leave me a little flat.
