Loosing weight - 1200 cals a day.... BEST ANSWER?
NEVER go lower than 1,200 calories a day. If you do, your body will go into starvation mode and will store all of the food that you eat as fat which will make you gain more weight. It does matter what you eat. Don't have foods that are high in sugar or sodium and opt for whole grain pasta, bread, and other foods instead of refined white foods. Whole grains are better than whole wheat. To sustain the weight after your diet, you need to slowly introduce more calories to your diet, say 100 calories more each week. This way your metabolism adapts to you daily calorie intake so you don't gain weight. You do need to exercise to burn fat and build muscle. Dieting won't make all the fat go away. You need to do cardio at least half an hour a day, 5 days a week. Also, try to do some strength training like weight lifting to build muscle m. You should do this 2-3 times a week. With this, you will be losing 1-2 pounds a week. Be patient. You may not see results quickly but keep at it and you will get to your goal.
