How to get mouse blood out of hardwood floors?

Our house is infested with rodents, and I've been igned the job of exterminating them. I'm currently using tomcat snap traps (most humane and effective), and they have worked very well at catching our first two mice. Unfortunately, the second trap caught the mouse by the neck and caused it to bleed all over our floor. How do I disinfect the area without ruining the hardwood floor? (and without hurting the family dog?)
