Grammy Awards 2011 question?

The operatic piece is "Nessun Dorma", from the Puccini opera, "Turandot". Aretha had performed the piece a few days before the 1998 Grammys for Luciano Pavarotti at a gala. Pavarotti was supposed to sing the piece at the Grammys, but he was sick (suddenly) and the producers asked Aretha to sing the aria in his place, with only a few minutes available for preparation.
