What would you do if someone in your family stopped talking to you?

It seems like your family has a lot of tension between them, and it seems that you want to help everyone out the best way you can, but I have to tell you that not everyone can be helped if they don't want to be helped.. Your boyfriend's brother has poor communication skills and needs to work on that, and if he chooses to be antisocial the majority of the time, let him. You've done what you could to try to be some of istance, and it doesn't work, so the best thing to do is just leave it alone, and let them come to you whenever they are ready to have a conversation like normal people. And you can't really do much for your boyfriend's brother's wife, because she needs help all on her on, if she wants to continue to pick fights and probe in everyone else's business that's all on her, someone will soon get enough of her mess and they'll straighten her out and she'll stop.. As for the money thing, you're right about everybody not having as much money as others, and relationships of any sort shouldn't be based off money either. You can only do so much to help a person, especially if they aren't willing to help themselves... I hope this helps =)
